origin story of counter culture media :
Counter Culture Media was born from a decade-long background of underground storytelling. Before anything had a name, it started with me photographing raves and late-night subcultures—documenting the people, energy, and scenes that lived outside the mainstream. In 2012 it evolved into 420 Culture, a media company dedicated to the cannabis world, blending photography, journalism, and community coverage at a time when the industry was just beginning to break into the light.
By 2015, it had fully merged into cannabis culture media and marketing, with occasional returns to my roots through pop-ups at music events and underground shows. Then came a five-plus-year hiatus as I shifted fully into the crypto world—absorbing a new wave of culture, technology, and decentralization.
Counter Culture Media is the fusion of all those chapters—underground nightlife, cannabis culture, and the on-chain renaissance—reborn to document the spaces where culture actually happens.
